KG Consulting is founded and led by Kent Grotkjaer, bringing over 30 years of hands-on management and technical experience in the global wood and furniture industry. This founder-led approach ensures that every inspection reflects international buyer expectations, not generic local standards.

Originally trained as a carpenter in Denmark, Kent developed deep, practical expertise in furniture construction, materials, finishing systems, and production workflows. He has since held senior leadership roles within multinational furniture and wood-manufacturing companies across Asia and Europe, working directly with both factories and international buyers.

Today, Kent remains actively involved on the ground in Indonesia, defining inspection standards, training inspectors, reviewing critical cases, and supporting buyers through complex quality and production challenges. This direct oversight ensures inspections go beyond checklist compliance — focusing instead on risk reduction, defect prevention, and shipment approval confidence.

As a result, KG Consulting operates as a technical partner to importers, wholesalers, and project buyers who require independent, furniture-specific quality control before payment release or container shipment.
